THE first home depot in Danao City, Build It, recently opened its doors.
Build It is an affiliate of Cebu Bionic Builders Group of Companies.
Bernard Vonn Sia, executive vice president for operations, said, “We are producing tools and technologies that contribute to sustainable environment and would consume less energy.”
The modern and chic Build It building itself, designed by Buck Richnold Sia, president of Cebu Bionic, likewise promotes sustainable living through the use of energy-efficient products. One of the highlights is the natural light passing through the building.
“Everyone should go green to help out with the environment. We have products in preserving Mother Nature so we could give back in what she had given to us,” Buck Sia said.
Among these products include the Saniflo, the latest from France. It enables a customer to install toilets and sanitary wares with minimal breakage during renovations. It is available in all Cebu Bionic branches.
Nanocoat is a clear solution to be applied to glass, to repel 90 percent of UV rays and 80 percent of infrared rays. Buck Sia said that car showrooms use Nanocoat, as it prevents discoloration of cars.
The Big Ass fan is a huge ceiling fan that consumes two horse power of energy and turns off eight horse power of aircon.
Solatube is used to harvest daylight. It is a piece of tube to be installed on the roof and transport sunlight without UV rays and heat intrusion. The lens of the tube magnifies the brightness of the sun. It is very cost efficient and does not consume electricity.
