SOME 82 new technicians will receive their diplomas on Nov. 23 during the 22nd commencement exercises of the Center for Industrial Technology and Enterprise (Cite).
The graduating batch of electromechanics technology completed their three-year industrial technology program, which comprised 15 months of in-school training and 15 months of industry exposure.
Special citations on perfect attendance and exemplary behavior will be given to the graduating batch.
Parents with perfect attendance in the education for development seminar series will be given certificates of recognition.
In the morning, some 45 industry partners will be recognized by Cite for their partnership in the dual training system (DTS) program of the school.
The industry partners take in students as trainees for the in-plant component of the program. The partners also shared the cost of the education of the students through partial scholarships.
During the ceremony, industry partners will receive their plaques of recognition for the partnership and their DTS accreditation from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority that recognizes their participation in the skills of middle-level manpower.
