Tree off the wall-A A +A
Saturday, December 7, 2013
FOR many, it’s not beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Dressing up the house for the Yuletide season doesn’t seem to matter when a gory episode just happened on this side of the universe. If this isn’t an unfortunate phase, nobody knows what is. But maybe setting up a tree or exchanging it for donations is a wise deviation for those who are still up for the holiday air.
Calling all skaters! Well, not really just skaters but anyone interested in skating stuff and some do-it-yourself ideas.
It used to be a piece of wood battered by concrete. Why don’t you revive that poor deck and use it to lighten the mood of the season, the skateboarding way? Have a couple of extra hooks and pin up the decks, concaves facing front, on a wooden space. Glue crumpled sheets of paper on each deck, forming a triangle.
If you still have neon shoelaces, use them as alternative garlands. That first pair of Vans you got for Christmas, the time you started nailing the skating basics, can be the bottom of your tree. Grace the masterpiece with mom’s Christmas décor from previous celebrations, a poinsettia or three.
