A feast fit for the holidays-A A +A
Friday, December 13, 2013
TO ring the yuletide season, Café Marco will be offering a feast composed of holiday favorites on top of its regular international spread starting Dec. 16, Monday.
Inclusive of this upcoming special selection are the traditional Christmas ham, prime beef, roasted turkey, chicken relleno, paella valenciana, and baked alaska for dessert.
In a media gathering held this week, assistant food and beverage manager, Joward Tongco, with the aid of chefs Nestor Alcoseba and Juanito Abangan, gave a preview of the exquisite gastronomic experience guests and patrons can look forward to this season.
One of the treats to definitely watch out for is the baked Alaska, a food item not commonly served in restaurants in Cebu. It is an ice cream dish lined with sponge cake and top with meringue, and as tradition, can be flambéed when served.
Then for guests craving for sweets, a visit to the hotel’s Christmas store should also be in order. Available in the store are gift hampers; goodies such as stollen, pudding, breakfast jams, truffles and other pastries; and specialty items like maple farm mushrooms, wines and quezo de bola.
From Dec. 16 to 23, and from Dec. 26 to 30, the lunch buffet rate is at P1,155 per person and dinner is at P1,345 per person. While for Noche Buena, there will be a 20 percent discount on the regular rate starting 10 p.m. on Nov. 24.
