Tesda lauds Mandaue City for promoting techvoc-A A +A

THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) cited Mandaue City Government for maintaining a technical vocational school that offers relevant courses for students.
“I would like to thank the City Government for the technical vocational school, which is accessible and offers relevant courses to students,” said Danilo Montana, assistant Tesda provincial director, during the graduation ceremony of 204 students of Mandaue City College Technical, Entrepreneurial, Skills Training Center held at the Mandaue Cultural and Sports Complex.
Montana also lauded the teachers for helping change the lives of the students.
“No amount of salary can be gratifying than seeing your students find a good job or running his/her own business.”
Mayor Jonas Cortes, who was out of town, in his message read by Councilor Editha Cabahug, committee chair on education, said graduation is a “big day” but it is only the beginning of another journey.
The students finished the following short courses: automatic mechanic, basic refrigeration, computer literacy with basic hardware servicing, dressmaking, commercial cooking, baking and pastries, food and meat processing, refrigeration and airconditioning, cosmetology, draperies and curtains-center base, industrial sewing machine operation.
