Seaside Boodle Fight at Be Resorts Mactan

DINING has never been this sumptuous and comfortable. Be Resorts Mactan is now offering Boodle on the Beach, the resort’s take on this military and communal way of partaking food.

There are two boodle sets to choose from: the Sunny Seaside Boodle and Big Beach Boodle. Each variety is good for four persons. The interesting twist with this version of boodle is its mix of Asian cuisine, like chicken satay, nasi goreng, and spicy chicken, and Filipino favorites, such as grilled prawns, beef bulalo, crispy pata, and others. The meals are served on top of banana leaves and over a bilao or a flat woven basket.

Be Resorts Mactan is the first to introduce this local style of dining in a resort setting. Enjoy a view of the sea while digging in to a great meal with family and friends. Diners will be seated on straw mats with pillows while dining.

“Food is a way of community,” Garry Garcia, general manager of Be Resorts Mactan, said.

He added that the beach is a great way to socialize and adding food is a bridge to make the experience even better.

The boodle dining was started by the resort last November 2013 and has been a popular choice of many of their guests, especially during the Sinulog season.

Boodle on the Beach is available daily from 11 a.m. onwards at the Salt Bar of Be Resorts Mactan. Diners can also choose to upgrade to Beach Day Boodle for an additional fee to enjoy free use of the resort’s pool and beach including a 10 percent discount on the their spa treatments and restaurants.
