ISCAHM honors 31 grads in commencement rites-A A +A

THE International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management (ISCAHM) recently held their second commencement exercises for 31 graduates at Shanghai Beijing Ballroom, Marco Polo Hotel in Cebu City.
The graduates’ families and friends, faculty, chef Sean McSavaney-director for culinary arts, chef Danilo Barrios-pastry chef instructor, chef Jerad Gajudo-pastry instructor, Albert Buncad-service instructor, chef Dietmar Dietrich-culinary instructor and chef Hans Schallenberg-director of hotel operations and ISCAHM founder attended the event.
In a speech, chef Sean encouraged the graduates to keep in mind the skills they learned in the school.
Awarding of trophies and certificates to the exceptional students during the in-house competition then followed after Sean’s speech. Michael Ian Vergara and Donna Faye Primacio were named over-all winners in the second in-house competition in culinary arts and in the first in-house competition in pastry arts.
The 31 graduates then received their ISCAHM diploma, chef toque and Australian certificate.
Other students were also awarded for their exemplary performance.
After the awarding, the 31 graduates were presented, and Vergara and Premacio gave their messages on behalf of the class. Vergara also led the graduates in the pledge of loyalty to their alma mater, while Christian Bernard Tan, an ISCAHM alumnus, inducted the graduates to the ISCAHM Alumni Association.
Chef Hans delivered a send-off message to the graduates that concluded the event.
