MCWD marks 39th year, awards top employees-A A +A

THE Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) turned 39 on Feb. 1 and gave recognition to 97 employees for their dedicated service to the water district through the years.
Of the 97, one of them has been serving the company for 35 years, while 16 others are 30-year service awardees.
Those who have served for five, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years were also recognized during a program at the MCWD Social Hall.
With this year’s theme, “United Towards Achieving Our Vision,” the celebration started with a holy mass at 7:45 a.m. at the chapel.
Special recognition was also given to 72 employees for their exemplary attendance and punctuality, which means they have not incurred late or absences for the past year.
The department with the least number of absences, the Environment and Water Resources Department, and the department with the least number of tardiness, the Production and Distribution Department, were also recognized.
Top leak reporters were also recognized for their tireless efforts in helping MCWD conserve water were also given certificates of appreciation and cash reward.
Ten employees who, in their personal efforts completed an additional degree to improve competencies for better public service, received acrylic plaque, while 21 employees who exhibited honesty by returning lost valuable items were also recognized.
