It was a fun lunch I had with former Josenian (as the graduates of University of San Jose-Recoletos or USJ-R are called) colleagues at Pino. Hosted by Canada-based Eden Tumaliwan, the get-together brought back happy memories of our USJ-R days.
Korean Air introduced its new regional manager (GM) Park Jung Wook replacing Hyung Soo Kim during dinner at Marco Polo poolside.
Cathay Pacific held its Producers’ Awards in China. SilkAir chose the Cebu City Marriott Hotel for its “Awards and Talent Presentation,” a well-paced event led by GM Chandran Menon and Ann Momongan.
SP Comm Kit: dining etiquette. Dining in events or parties comes in various styles, and most common are the buffet or, plated, among others. Following the queue for buffet is ideal because it will facilitate getting one’s food.
We should not get more than what we can eat. In plated dinners, for small groups, one should not start having her soup, or salad, or main course, until each in the same table gets hers. In the family type of serving, one should not get more than what is needed and should wait before turning the Lazy Susan on the table, until one has gotten her share. Make our dining wholesome and do not discuss problems, politics, deaths or maladies while eating so as not to lose your appetite.
