GREETINGS to the Consul Of France and Mme. Michel Lhuillier and the Alliance Francaise de Cebu for the commemoration of the National Day of France last Friday, July 18.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 23, the National Day of Belgium will be celebrated led by the Ambassador of Belgium and Mrs. Roland Van Remoortele and the Consul of Belgium and Mrs. Enrique Benedicto at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu Hotel (MPPCH).
Fashion, food, et al

Cebu’s “fashion” has always been a trending segment of social, business or tourism affairs because our distinguished fashionistas never run-out of creative designs. The latest was Marriott’s fashion event.

Next to fashion is “food, glorious food!” and the latest was Sabores de España at MPPCH, which once again unveiled the richness of Spanish culinary arts. “Muy bien,” the media guests said after savoring Gemma Pido’s favorite dishes. It’s always paella for me, while Flor, Nelia, Cookie, and Chinggay just loved the lengua. Dr. Nestor Alonzo was busy analyzing the rich ingredients of every dish. Jimmy and Cecilia were ever the gracious guests.
Ms. Hawaii – Filipinas

It was a pleasure seeing former Lhuillier scholar, AnMercil, crowned as Ms. Hawaii – Filipina. Her visit to my office brought back memories of her college days and performances. She has always been sweet, courteous, and skillful.

SP Comm Kit. Imperfect perfect tenses? You bet, it’s hard to differentiate between simple and perfect tenses. Here are some tips: For immediate past action, use the present perfect. Example: I have just eaten my lunch. Past perfect tenses are used for two completed past actions happening one after the other. Example: I had eaten my lunch when you called. For actions which could be predicted or completed in the future, use the future perfect tenses. Example: By March 2015, I shall have defended my masteral thesis.
