DEGREE9 Coffee & Roasting’s second branch has been open since early November last year. From sunup to sundown, this is a place frequently visited by a slew of patrons for a string of reasons worth checking out.

It has a wide selection of coffee, tea, smoothies, sodas as well as non-caffeinated choices including new ones like affogatwist as well as its summer drinks launched this month: the matcha berry, cherry bomb and cookie matcha among others.

It prides itself on not just being a coffee shop but also a roaster, so one can expect quality, freshly brewed coffee during each visit.

Best paired with one’s favorite drink are its choices of all things sweet and savory when one feels peckish. Aside from that, it houses meals any time of the day with must-try dishes like its crêpes, bacon and eggs (B.A.E), English breakfast, egg-in-a-hole sandwich and the spam musubi, to name a few.

It comes as no surprise that people don’t just hang for the coffee but also for the ambience. The place itself is an attraction—the cream to the coffee, so to speak.

At first glance, one can tell that the two-storey café has an open and light look from the glass window giving its patrons a clear view of the avenue. From its fixtures, the easy-on-the-eyes combination of the colors black, white and red with hints of green; down to the little details including the mosaic tiles, fire bricks for walls by the charming nook—overall, it possesses an urban industrial look with hints of sportiness.

Whether the plan is to spend the day by one’s lonesome, or with the company of friends and family over a good cup of coffee, this is one such place that offers that and more.

Degree9 Coffee & Roasting is located at Norkis Cyberpark, A.S. Fortuna Street, Mandaue City, Cebu and is open daily from 7 a.m. until 2 a.m.

Degree9’s first branch is located at the GAGFA Tower, F. Cabahug Street, Mabolo, Cebu City.
