WORKING remotely out of the office is the new norm.

In the age of freelancers and startups, traditional nine-to-five office jobs isn’t the only career set-up available—here enter co-working spaces.

Although still considered an “office,” a cow orking space brings together like-minded individuals in an environment conducive for work yet not isolating like a typical office.

Fast internet connection, unlimited power plus chic interiors—these are what make them heavensent for today’s generation of creatives. Let’s take a look at some, located right in the heart of Cebu City.

ASPACE

The brand made its way to Cebu after spawning several branches in the metropolitan area of Manila. Spanning 500 square meters in area, ASPACE also has private rooms for events from small gatherings such as work meetings to larger functions such as screenings and events aside from itscoworking space and lounge. Daily rate is P500 but ASPACE also offers long-term space rental through its COWORK CLUB, which includes a personal desk with ergonomic chair, lockable storage, use of the pantry and bar, as well as perks on ASPACE events. (ASPACE is located at Crossroads, Gov. Cuenco Ave., Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City.)

Workplace Cafe

The most budget-friendly on this list, rates start at P35 per hour at Workplace Cafe. That already includes free-flowing coffee and iced tea. Save more by availing of weekly and monthly rates if you plan to frequent the coworking space. The place also offers food like pasta and rice meals as well as drinks such as milk tea and blended coffee-based beverages.

If you need to take a break from work, feel free to take a quick snooze on the beanbags.

(Workplace Cafe is located at F. Ramos St., Cebu City, just a few meters away from Velez College.)

The TIDE Cebu

The TIDE was started to fill a missing gap for coworking and community space and as a social enterprise, all of the profit goes into developing and improving The TIDE community. Daily rate is P500—aside from unlimited power and 50 mbps internet; price also includes access to their rooftop! Food is not a problem as The TIDE is located right in the heart of Cebu I.T. Park, which means dining options are aplenty. Aside from meetups and events, The TIDE also welcomes individuals who want to share and speak to an audience—just contact the team and they’d be glad to collaborate!

(The TIDE is located on the seventh floor of Skyrise 1, Cebu I.T. Park, Lahug, Cebu City.)
