SINCE 1953, celebrated brand Ascot Chang has been creating all things bespoke for its discerning clients (shirts and suits made for business, casual or formal affairs) offering a selection of more than 4,500 fabrics. Over the years, it has expanded across the globe and has an assortment of clothing items like lush cashmere sweaters, elegant scarves, pure silk ties as well as cufflinks, socks and more.

Ordering a bespoke shirt from Ascot Chang begins with the wearer from his body, posture down to the style. From there, the bespoke process starts with fabric selection, styling, measurements and patternmaking, making the shirt down to the final fitting.

“It’s all about developing a relationship with the customer, understanding him and being able to give him what he wants,” shared  Justin Chang, the brand’s business development manager. “To us, it’s about highlighting the customer’s personality and personal style. We do our best to serve the client and make his ideas a reality.”

In Cebu, Ascot Chang is located at Level 1, Rustan’s, Ayala Center Cebu where clients can also view its Spring/Summer collections as well as lightweight suits ideal for tropical weather.

The heritage brand is known for its craftsmanship and keen eye for detail in men’s tailoring with signatures like single needle French seams, 22 stitches per inch sewing technique and handpicked Australian mother-of-pearl buttons.

It also has ready-to-wear selection of shirts, suits, robes, boxer shorts and handkerchiefs.

The beauty about wearing something bespoke is that it is made especially for the wearer. A lot of thought was put into it for one single individual. It’s a special piece that hangs in one’s wardrobe, envisioned by the wearer and made to life by the tailor—and it’s a keeper.
