An unusual celebration

Tuesday, December 05, 2017

“IT’S not just the people in the upper class who deserve the best. We also think that the less fortunate deserve the finer things in life as well,” said Cara Mae Rina, marketing manager of Eco Prima, as the company celebrated its first year in business.

Eco Prima Home and Commercial Kitchen Supply celebrated its first anniversary through a Food Drive, an unusual celebration wherein it gave food to the less fortunate instead of having a fancy party.

Instead, the staff served delicious grilled barbecue and lumpia with juice as beverage, making the guests happy—obviously seen on their faces while sharing each other’s meals.

“We are very grateful that this company really shared their blessings with us people who live near the river. We thank you very much,” said Ramel Rosales in Bisaya. Ramel is a homeless man from Banilad who lives beside the river near Gaisano Country Mall.

The celebration was also interesting as Eco Prima’s owner and family members personally served the food to the less fortunate. Also for its first anniversary, the store gave a 10 percent discount for every item customers would purchase in the store. It’s Eco Prima’s way of giving back to its loyal customers for the support as it reached its one year mark in the business.
