Utzurrum: Magnificent ‘mountain terraces’

MONTERRAZAS literally translated means, “mountain terraces” and is all that and more.
Genvi Development Corporation owner and developer made sure that this would be Cebu’s first, premier mountain resort community, covering 200 hectares and rising majestically in Guadalupe. On a clear day, visible are the forests of Buhisan, and the nearby islands of Mactan and Bohol.
Recently, Genvi Development, hosted an afternoon picnic for its future residents as it unveiled its welcome marker, gate and guardhouse. A kilometric red ribbon with the letters, M-o-n-t-e-r-r-a-z-a-s, traversed the wide entrance where more than eight sponsors did the ceremonial cutting.
What fun the kids had—with a clown, a magician and a balloon twister for entertainment, not to mention the abundant food, and music. The adults? They had their fill of the crisp, cool mountain air and magnificent view!
Because that is what Monterrazas is all about: A breathtaking sight is the marker, which shows a representation of the continuous verdant hills the development rests on.
The natural mountain flora serves as the backdrop. The guardhouse, as one enters the property, is conceptualized to be the Genvi logo on a larger-scale, and the grass-filled roof of the guardhouse sits under the logo. Talk about environmental sustainability, the area is a fine sample of this!
Monterrazas is ideally located at 335 meters above sea level and is an exclusive city by itself, with three major residential subdivisions within its huge acreage. There are adequate facilities for the health, education and entertainment needs of the residents, including a resort-inspired clubhouse in every phase, pocket parks and playgrounds, jogging trails, and every imaginable type of luxury, for the active lifestyle. It’s not too late to own a slice of this real estate treasure.
