THE Consular Corps of Cebu recently had its induction of officers for 2013.
Inducted chairperson was Emilie Benedicto, honorary consul of Poland. I had the chance to talk to one of the country’s well-respected movie directors when I dropped by the office of M Talent Events & Promotions (MTEP) in Mandaue City upon the invitation of actress/producer/talent manager Aida “Angging” Patana. And he is not just an ordinary movie director because he happens to head the Philippine Motion Picture Directors’ Association. I am referring to William Mayo whom Patana appointed as MTEP consultant. His main job is to conduct a series of acting workshops for aspiring talents based in Cebu and even those coming from the other parts of the Visayas and Mindanao. Mayo will be assisted by Gina Alajar and Leo Martinez, two of the country’s top movie/television and stage performers.
