TWO port policemen were arrested after they allegedly shot a jobless man in Sitio Silangan II, Ba-rangay Tejero in Cebu City at 3:45 a.m. yesterday.

Insp. Bernard Macuto, 29, and Insp. Adolfo Abre-gana Jr., 36, were allegedly drunk when they inflicted a wound in Freddie Bart Fulache’s left arm.

Police confiscated a Glock 17 9mm pistol with its magazine, 12 bullets, two deformed slugs and two empty shells of 9mm pistol from Macuto.

Macuto said he was drinking liquor with Abre-gana and other fellow port policemen last Tuesday night.

When they were done hours later, they approached Fulache, 23, who was playing
billiards with friends Raymund Ramos and Darryl Ian Panchito.

Necklace

Macuto asked them who snatched the silver necklace of his wife, Kristine, last Feb. 26. The victim and his friends denied they committed the crime.

Macuto allegedly collared Fulache and pulled out a gun. Afterwards they threw punches
against each other.

Abregana punched Fulache and when the latter tried to fight back, he was suddenly shot.

The two policemen denied they shot Fulache but they refused to undergo a paraffin test.

“We always have our regular shooting exercise,” Abregana said in Cebuano.

The victim, who is already stable, intends to file charges against the suspects.

Dead

Also yesterday, at 6 a.m., driver Diosdado Parallon, 45, was gunned down by an unknown assailant in Barangay San Nicolas, Cebu City.

Parallon, who had a wound in the head, died later at a public hospital.

Rebecca, the victim’s wife, told the police that while she was sweeping by the roadside, a man on board a black motorcycle suddenly stopped in front of their shanty.

The man disembarked from the vehicle, app-roached and shot Parallon who was sleeping on the chair of a car.

Last Wednesday, at 7 p.m., Arnel Señor, 24, was hit in the nape after he was shot by an unknown assailant in Barangay Punta Princesa.

Señor was hit in the nape after an unknown assailant shot him from behind. Before the shooting, he was with Joyce Pascual to give food to their friend who was detained at the Punta Princesa Police Station.

Gunfire

When they were walking along Tres de Abril St., Señor told investigators that he heard a burst of gunfire from behind him and then felt pain. When he turned around, he saw a man boarding a motorcycle.

Meanwhile, a 68-year-old widower was found dead inside her home in Barangay Poblacion, Medellin last Tuesday, at 7:15 p.m.

Socorro Montesclaros was found with a wound in the back of her head by son-in-law, SFO3 Judelino Almacin.

The police said the motive behind her death is robbery since Montesclaros’ bankbook, cell phone, land title and three coin banks were gone.

PO2 Rocelito Ortega said they already have a suspect, but he refused to divulge his name, pending further investigation.
