AN 18-YEAR-OLD student will not be able to attend his graduation rites today after he was arrested for alleged selling and possession of marijuana.

Seventeen sticks of marijuana and P280 cash, including the marked money used in the operation, were allegedly recovered from Fariolen.
Fariolen, who lives in Barangay Hagnaya, cried when the police placed him inside the detention cell.
Report
Desk officer PO2 Herman Bulawit said the operation against Fariolen was initiated after a teacher reported the boy’s alleged illegal drug trading.
The information was received by the police at 10 a.m. that day, prompting San Remigio
Police Station Chief Jose Ruvic Villarin to set up an entrapment.
Bringing a student with him, P01 Brendo Mendayos served as a poseur-buyer and
pretended to buy six sticks of marijuana worth P60 from Fariolen inside the school campus.
As Fariolen allegedly handed over the marijuana, Mendayos placed his hand on the suspect’s shoulder while informing the latter of the violation he committed.
The rest of the operatives joined Mendayos in accosting Fariolen.
The police reportedly recovered 11 more sticks of marijuana from Fariolen’s possession and P280 cash, including the P60 used in the buy-bust.
Record
According to reports received by the police, Fariolen had been selling marijuana since August. This bothered the school administration since most of his clients are students.
He reportedly sold them at P10 each stick.
There was a time, though, that he stopped distributing marijuana when he became aware that he was being monitored.
Fariolen reportedly gets his supply from a neighbor.
Fariolen was charged with selling and possession of marijuana. Selling of marijuana, shabu and other illegal drugs is a non-bailable offense under Section 5 of the Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
