Mandaue City honors top taxpayers

THE Mandaue City Government honored the top business and realty taxpayers in the city last Friday during the annual Mandaue City Taxpayers’ Night.

The top business taxpayers were the Visayan Electric Company, Super Metro Gaisano Vicsal Development Corp., Zuellig Pharma Corp., Coca Cola Bottlers Phils. Inc., JS Unitrade Merchandise Inc., Aboitiz Construction Group Inc., Monde Nissin Biscuits Corp., United Laboratories Inc., Monark Equipment Corp. of the Philippines and Philip Morris Fortune Tobacco Cigarette.

San Miguel Brewery Inc. topped the list of corporate taxpayers followed by Taipan Development Inc., Cenapro Inc., J. King & Sons Co. Inc., Coca Cola Bottlers Phils. Inc., Philippine National Bank, San Miguel Corp., Vel-Ouano Realty Inc., A.D. Gothong Mftg. Corp. Inc. and Pacific Traders & Mftg. Corp.

The top individual real property taxpayers were James Yu, Victor Chiongbian, Ferdinand Tio, King Kee Ko, Erramon Aboitiz, Hyman Yap, Raymund Ong, Jimmy Casera, Peter Yap and Johnny Uy.

Special awards

Special awards were also given to new investors and players in the city like Gaisano Centro, J Mall, Days Hotel, Oakridge Pavilion, Allure Hotel and Colonnade.

The City also honored companies that have been doing business in the city since it was granted cityhood status in 1969.

These are Highland Confectionery MFG Inc., Querubin Construction Supply Company, Suson Lumber Inc., Cebu Universal Lumber Co. Inc., Simon Enterprises, San Miguel Corp., Benson Industries Inc., Cenapro Inc., Dr. Ignacio Cortes General Hospital Inc., Lucy’s Pharmacy, Treasure Island Industrial Corp. and Gal’s Bakery.
