The purpose of the meeting was to make transport readily available after the Sinulog to prevent passengers from getting stranded.
Citom Chairperson Sylvan Jakosalem said that during the meeting it was agreed that 30 buses will be assigned to ply to the city’s southern area and another 30 buses for the northern part at a fixed rate of P10 per passenger, regardless of destination and distance.
Jakosalem said that north-bound buses will park at Imus St. across the Department of Education building, while the south-bound buses will park along N. Bacalso Ave. right across the Cebu South Bus Terminal.
LTFRB 7 Director Ahmed Cuizon said that Vallacar Transit Corp. will be fielding 30 buses to be used for the city’s north route after the Sinulog celebration at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).
The Ceres buses will pass through the malls of Ayala and SM.
The revelers are advised to walk from the CCSC to Imus St. to take the bus ride.
Cuizon said some 20 buses will also be fielded by members of the CPBOA at the Librando
terminal across Elizabeth Mall and at the corner of V. Rama and N. Bacalso Avenues to transport the south-bound spectators. These areas are near to the Cebu City Sports Center.
