Operatives believe that two of these incidents were done by the same group.

At 12:50 a.m. yesterday, “Rex,” 14, and “Anthony,” 14, were shot on V. Rama St., Cebu City by unidentified suspects in a gray sedan with an undetermined plate.

Initial investigation by the Homicide Section of the Cebu City Police Office said the victims were about to board a jeepney for Banawa when the assailants fired at them.
According to a male informant, the suspects then sped off.

Rex was wounded in his chest with the bullet exiting at his back, while Anthony was hit in the armpit and left side of his chest.

The victims were reportedly critical as of yesterday.

Four empty shells from a .45 were recovered in the crime scene.

Carreta shooting

Three hours after the incident, the suspects who appeared to be in the same vehicle as in the earlier incident shot another teenager in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City.

Mark Joel Doble, 19, was shot in Barangay Carreta by unidentified assailants who were also in a gray sedan at 3:30 a.m.

Doble, a Crips gang member, was standing along the road in Sitio Ponce 2, Barangay
Carreta, Cebu City along with his other gang members.

Minutes later, an unidentified man a gray vehicle slowly passed by and shot the victim.

Doble was hit in the right part of his neck and left side of his buttocks. He was then rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

Operatives are looking at a gang war as one of the possible motives of the shooting.

The Homicide Section of CCPO said the assailant could be a Bloods gang member
considering that one of the victims is from the rival gang Crips.

Police are now searching for the gray sedan that was used in these separate shooting incidents.

Shot dead

Meanwhile, a first year high school student was shot dead in Barangay Labangon, Cebu City.

Joseph, 16, was shot dead by an unidentified man riding a motorcycle Saturday dawn.

The Homicide section’s investigation said that Joseph was seen lying on his back along the roadside with a gunshot wound on his chin.

According to witnesses, the victim was walking home when two men riding on a motorcycle shot him.

Joseph was reportedly able to walk a few meters to ask for help, but he died because of the shot in his head.

A deformed slug was recovered in the crime scene.

In a separate incident, a man died after his co-worker stabbed him in Cogon Ramos, Cebu City last Saturday.

Bernard Monjon, 24, was stabbed by Artemio Florez, 41, at 12:20 a.m. last Saturday.

Florez reportedly got mad at Monjon after fighting with him, which led him to grab a bladed weapon and stab Monjon.
