2 from Cebu in nursing board exam Top 10-A A +A

CEBU CITY (Updated) –- Two graduates of the University of San Carlos (USC) were among the top 10 passers of the December 2011 Nursing Licensure Examinations, whose results were released Thursday.
Raymond Fabronero and Paul Gibson Reyes placed seventh, both getting a score of 84.60 percent. They shared the spot with seven other passers.
The Philippine Regulatory Commission said 22,760 of the 67,095 who took the exams made it.
Jerald Pelayo of the Mountain View College topped the exam with a score of 86.40 percent, followed by Linsid Angelou Tapongot of Xavier University, 86 percent.
Joanne Santamaria of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila ranked third with 85.80.

The Board of Nursing administered the exams in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, La Union, Legazpi, Lucena, Nueva Ecija, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
The passers are required to take an Oath of Professional before the Board of Nursing or any government official authorized to administer oaths, before joining the nursing practice.
A graduate of USC also topped the January 2012 Architecture Licensure Examinations, whose results were announced last February 2.
Andrew Wee got a score of 86.40 percent, sharing the top spot with a graduate of the University of the Philippines in Diliman.
Ruelan Mira, a graduate of the Cebu Institute of Technology-University, placed seventh in the same examinations. (RSB of Sun.Star Cebu)
