CEBU CITY -- Filipinos here and abroad have expressed their thoughts and wishes for President Benigno Aquino III to answer and consider in his third State of the Nation Address (Sona) on Monday, July 23, 2012.

Sun.Star website at, interviewed Filipinos here and abroad and gathered their sentiments and suggestions for President Aquino to consider in his report to the nation on Monday.

The issues raised were varied and among the interesting suggestions is a change of system in matters involving overseas Filipino workers (OFW).

One wanted for Aquino to have concrete programs like the establishment of government-owned corporation or agency to handle recruitment for overseas work. This way will stop illegal recruitment which has been causing so much problem to many Filipinos abroad. Another wanted to hear President Aquino's policy on Reproductive Health (RH).

Others wanted to listen to his economic agenda for 2013, environmental programs, land reform programs along with the distribution of Hacienda Luisita, status of diplomatic relationship with China over Scarborough, his statement of assets, liabilities and net worth, disaster-preparedness programs, and Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT).

Watch and listen more to their thoughts and ideas.

The interviews are just part of Sun.Star website's offering for the Sona coverage of President Aquino.

On Monday, the website will stream live the President's Sona, courtesy of the People's Television Network. Sidelights at the Batasan will also be brought live.
