FOR allegedly raping a six-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy will face trial after the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office filed a rape case against him in court.
Prosecutor Aurora Peñaflor found enough evidence to charge Daniel (real name withheld) for violating Republic Act 8353, or the Anti-Rape Law of 1997.
Peñaflor recommended a bail of P120,000.
The victim, Paulie (not his real name), said in his sworn statement that Daniel forced his way into the former’s room last Nov. 2 in Cebu City.
Undressed
Daniel undressed and raped the child around 6 p.m.
“Iya kung giingnan nga dili ko magsaba sa akong mama kay kung mosaba ko iya kung sumbagon (He warned me not to tell my mother or he will punch me),” said Paulie to the investigator.
When he arrived home thirty minutes after the incident, Paulie told his parents he had a headache and went upstairs.
Father
His father told his mother to care of him.
When the mother was inside the room, Paulie confided to her what Daniel did to him.
The victim’s father confronted Daniel, but the latter denied raping Paulie.
“I (was) really shocked and got mad,” said the 27-year-old mother in her affidavit.
