IF 17-YEAR-OLD Robin (real name withheld for being a minor) wants temporary freedom, he has to pay a bail bond of P100,000 set by the prosecutor’s office.
He was arrested after he allegedly stole a bag that had no cash in it from Candelaria Aporador, 21, in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City.
For committing the offense, Robin will face trial in court after he was charged by the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office with a criminal case.
Prosecutor Naruzen Delfin-Lorte, who handled the complaint, found evidence to charge Robin with robbery in court.
Last month, the minor and his companion boarded a jeepney.
Robin took out a knife and declared the hold up.
He then snatched Aporador’s bag and fled with his cohort.
The victim reported the incident to the Mabolo Police Station.
SPO3 Roldan Paller and PO1 Niko Gil Dagales accompanied her back to the area.
Together with barangay tanods in Carreta, the police officers searched the area and they later caught Robin, whom Aporador identified as the one who poked a knife at her.
Aporador, in her affidavit, said her bag only contained a lipstick, baby powder, lip shiner and other valuables.
The stolen items are only worth P311, but Aporador was not able to recover them.
