THE police precincts in Barangay Pardo and in Carbon Market will soon have their new facilities after it was identified by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) as recipients of the groupās Adopt-A-Station project.
āIt is one way of helping the police since we also have an open communication to them in the business sectors,ā said Jose Ng of CCCI.
He said that the Pardo and Carbon police stations will be constructed within the next three years.
The Pardo Police Station, Ng said, might be transferred to the South Road Properties.
He said the group is in the process of finding the good location for both police stations.
The police station will also be built according to the chosen property.
Ng pointed out that the project is not limited to Cebu City alone, but for other neighboring cities as well.
āWe do not limit progress within Cebu City. We have also informed other neighboring cities about this (project) that we are willing to help. We are still waiting for their response,ā added Ng in a media gathering yesterday.
Since its launching in 2002, the CCCI has so far provided facilities for the police stations of Mabolo, Waterfront, Parian, Fuente, and San Nicolas.
The project was made to help the police improve their working condition and maintain the peace and order in Cebu City.
