DJ tries to help sis, but stabbed in bar-A A +A

A DISC jockey was wounded after a man stabbed him with a shard of glass inside a disco bar in Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City last Saturday night.
Fender Quijano, 25, a DJ at Face Bar, sustained wounds in the neck and chin. He was rushed to the Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital, but was later transferred to the Perpetual Succor Hospital in Cebu City.
The police identified the suspect as Julius Abing, 23, a jobless resident of Sitio Sacc, Barangay Buaya, Lapu-Lapu City.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m.
PO2 Winston Ybañez of the Homicide Section of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LLCPO) said the suspect wanted to dance with the victim’s sister, a 17-year-old college student. But she would not dance with him.
When the victim noticed that the suspect, who was drunk, was badgering his sister, he intervened.
Abing got angry and broke a bottle of beer. He picked a shard of glass and allgedly stabbed the victim.
A security guard arrested the suspect, who is now detained at the LCCPO detention cell.
