THE seventh edition of the Cebu Journalism and Journalists (CJJ) magazine was launched Friday, achieving a first with the simultaneous launch of its e-book version.
The e-book can be downloaded in formats suitable for the iPhone, iPad, Kindle and Android tablet, said Innopub Media co-founder Max Limpag during the launch at Linea Restaurant and Lounge in Cebu City.
To demonstrate how to download the e-book, Limpag scanned the QR (Quick Response) code that appeared on an advertisement on the CJJ7 that Sun.Star Cebu published that day.

He reported that as of 6 p.m. Friday, there had already been some 47 downloads of the e-book, which can also be accessed through http://bit.ly/cjj-ebook.
A QR code is a mobile phone-readable barcode that one can scan after he has downloaded a QR code reader for free from his smartphone’s application market.
CJJ chronicles the growth of the Cebu press. It is traditionally released during the celebration of Cebu Press Freedom Week.
Friday’s magazine launch also served as the appreciation cocktails for the major sponsors of Cebu Press Freedom Week 2012.
Published in the Sun.Star Cebu newspaper on September 23, 2012.
