THE Talisay City Prosecutor’s Office charged a man with robbery after he allegedly stole P310,500 worth of jewelry and gadgets.
Prosecutor Benjo Luther Macion found evidence to indict Junjun Reyes, who remains at large.
Bail was set at P50,000.
Last April 30, Reyes and his companion, James Riambunanza, allegedly entered the house of May Guada Marapao in a subdivision in Barangay Lawaan II.
Marapao, in her affidavit, was informed by her neighbor’s housemaid about the alleged break-in. The housemaid also told her that Riambunanza had been arrested.
Marapao and her husband rushed back to their house and found the lock on the main door
broken. The air condition unit was already on the floor.
“We also found that our drawers inside our room on the second floor were ransacked with our jewelries, watches, camera, cellular phone, cell phone accessories and other valuable items already missing. Our laptops and their accessories were also missing,” Marapao said.
The couple headed to the Talisay City Police Station where Riambunanza was detained. They were able to recover some of the stolen items from him.
