Card game proves fatal for woman; guard ambushed-A A +A

A WOMAN died while a security guard was wounded in separate shooting incidents in Lapu-Lapu City.
Leonila Lambojon, 49, a jobless resident of Sitio Sabang, Barangay Sta. Rosa, Olango Island, was shot dead while playing cards with her friends in Sitio Pagutlan, Barangay Maribago at 9:30 p.m. last Friday.
According to the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office Homicide Section, the victim was shot twice in the head by two unidentified assailants, who concealed their faces with black shirts.
When the victim fell to the ground, her assailants took her black belt bag and ran off.
No motive yet
At 7:30 p.m. last Thursday, Jenalyn dela Cerna, 29, a security guard assigned in a hotel in Cebu City, was shot by two unidentified men using an unknown caliber of firearm while he was driving his motorcycle in Barangay Pajac.
The victim, who was on his way to work, sustained a gunshot wound in his lower right arm. He got off the vehicle and ran for help.
The assailants boarded the victim’s motorcycle and drove off, while the victim was rushed to a hospital.
