Mall workers ‘caught’ stealing from delivery van

NINE mall employees were arrested for allegedly trying to steal almost 80 boxes of groceries in a delivery van last Thursday.
The White Gold Club Inc. management reported the matter to the Mabolo Police Station around 3:30 p.m. after it allegedly caught the employees in the act of stealing.
P150T worth of goods
The suspects were identified as Lodovice Sabino, 21; Mark Vinalon, 19; Ignacio Marosa, 18; Rolly Legario, 52; Erickson Mangubat, 21; Germel Dinoy, 18; Augustino Itaas, 51; Rodrigo Baruc, 25; and Melbourne Tadiosa, 32.
Baruc is reportedly a security guard, while Tadiosa is a dealer. The rest are stockmen in the mall.
Kim Ontolan, the mall’s head security guard, said the suspects tried to steal 40 boxes of assorted coffee and milk products, reportedly worth P90,000; and 40 boxes of juice and ice tea, reportedly worth P60,000.
Charges
After their arrest, police brought the nine employees to the Mabolo Police Station with the help of SPO2 Francisco Ortiz of the Investigative and Detective Management Branch of the Cebu City Police Office.
A case of qualified theft will be filed against them.
White Gold Club is located on S. Soriano St., Cebu City.
