FOR the first time since she sat in office, Acting Gov. Agnes Magpale will lead the flag ceremony at the Provincial Capitol ground today.
Provincial Board Member Miguel Magpale said they expected that all the board members will attend the flag ceremony.
In a memorandum dated Jan. 4 signed by Provincial Administrator Eduardo Habin, department heads and employees are required to attend the flag ceremony every Monday.
Open doors
Included in the memo is that the front and rear doors of the Capitol building will be opened.
“Please be informed that the front and rear doors of the Capitol building will be opened to provide access for Capitol employees before and after the above-stated activity,” a part of the memorandum read.
Capitol doors were recently closed after reports that Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia will be forcibly removed from office.
Suspension
Garcia was suspended as penalty for an administrative case filed by the late Vice Gov. Gregorio Sanchez.
After a copy of Garcia’s suspension order was left and posted on the door of her office by the Department of Interior and Local Government regional director last Dec. 19, Magpale began to sit as the acting governor.
Yesterday, police personnel required the visitors when entering the Capitol compound to present an identification card and sign the log book to state their purpose of visit since it was the weekend.
