Share your ‘Sinulog Moments’ with Sun.Star

CEBU CITY - Festivals, like the Sinulog, happen just once a year, and what better way to remember these events than by having yourself involved in the celebration and letting others know about your experience.
Sun.Star website, at www.sunstar.com.ph, is inviting all interested revelers in Cebu and even outside the city and the Philippines, to share their “Sinulog Moment” through photos. It doesn’t matter whether you were with your friends and family, as long as you were able to show how you celebrate the feast of the Holy Infant Jesus, Sr. Sto. Nino.
Lucky winners will receive a Sun.Star commemorative 2G USB and get a chance to be featured in Sun.Star’s Sinulog microsite, which will also carry on Sunday (Sinulog Grand Parade) video feeds from three live points: Cebu City Sports Center, University of San Carlos main campus at P. del Rosario St., and Jones Avenue near Fuente Osmena Circle.
There are two ways to join: through Facebook and through Twitter.
On Facebook, simply LIKE the “Sun.Star – Philippine News” and “Sinulog (Cebu’s Grandest Festival)” pages and upload your Sinulog photos with a short description or caption, either in Cebuano, Tagalog or English. Tag the two pages.
On Twitter, follow @sunstaronline, upload your photos and use the hashtag #Sinulog2013. Also mention @sunstaronline on your post.
Sun.Star will select the top 20 “coolest” Sinulog photos from all entries submitted. Also, the more Facebook likes and Twitter retweets the photo gets, the more your chance of winning. So, feel free to ask your friends to like your photos.
The campaign will run starting Sunday, for the Sinulog Grand Parade, until Friday, January 25. Entries shared on Sunday will also be featured on Sun.Star’s Sinulog Grand Parade live blog at http://cebu.sunstar.com.ph/sinulog.
The winners will be announced on Saturday, January 26.
This campaign was launched to let thousands of people on social media, particularly on Facebook and Twitter, know how wonderful the Sinulog festival is. This is just also one of Sun.Star’s ways to reach audience from outside Cebu and the Philippines, especially those who failed to come to celebrate the Fiesta Senor.
Aside from this social media campaign, Sun.Star will also stream live the Grand Parade, starting at 6 a.m. Sunday, in partnership with the Sinulog Foundation, Needs and Solutions, Smart Communications, and Metrobank.
There will also be a live coverage of the awarding ceremonies on Monday, January 21, and Hubo Mass on January 25. Keep on visiting www.sunstar.com.ph, or follow us on social media for more updates.
Good luck and we look forward to seeing your entries. Pit Senyor!
