Apec team inspects Cebu-A A +A

AN inspection team, composed of representatives from government agencies and the private sector, is in Cebu to check facilities that may become venues of minor functions related to the Asia Pacific Economic Conference (Apec) summit in 2015.
The inspection team of the Apec organizing committee will check facilities according to security, cleanliness and accessibility.
It will assess the Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Metro Cebu traffic, hotels and other places of interest, said Capitol Public Information Office head Ethel Natera.
The group will also assess if the Cebu International Convention Center is fit to hold Apec meetings, including those among finance officers and senior officers of Apec countries.
The team will also check suitable areas for Apec minor meetings in Clark, Boracay, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Metro Manila and Tagaytay.
The group is composed of representatives from Department of Tourism, Department of Foreign Affairs, Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office, PNP, National Intelligence and Coordinating Agency, Office of Civil Defense, Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Finance, among others.
