A KOREAN businessman lost more than half a million after his massage parlor in Barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City was burglarized last Tuesday.
Kui Sang Noh, 40, reported to police that the P515,000 he kept in a drawer in his room at Dream Home Service Massage was stolen.
Lucrecia Riverol, 40, parlor manager and a resident of Barangay Pitogo, Consolacion, Cebu, discovered the burglary at 4 a.m. last Tuesday.
Shortly after arriving, she noticed that her wallet, containing P8,000 and some identification cards, was no longer in the room of her Korean boss, where she kept it.
She called her boss who arrived at 7 p.m. His money was gone when he checked his room.
In Barangay Labogon, a 16-year-old working student allegedly stole jewelry items worth P105,000 from her employer.
Charina Salimbangon, 32, an employee of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp., sought the help of the police after her three rings and three pairs of earrings went missing last Aug. 31.
On Aug. 28, Salimbangon said her security guard found her office uniform inside the bag of Liza (real name withheld). When she confronted her, Liza said she wore the uniform during a job interview.
Liza is a native of Quezon City and a fourth year high school student at Canduman Night High School.
After she recovered the stolen jewelry items from a pawnshop last Monday, Salimbangon and two police officers arrested Liza. A theft complaint was filed against Liza on the same day.
