A FORMER Cebu City Hall employee was indicted for frustrated murder for attacking his former boss.
The case against Wilson Kilat, 55, was resolved after he didn’t file a counter-affidavit.
Kilat posted the P40,000-bail last Thursday.
He struck Engr. Emiliano Cruz, the City Hall building administrator, several times with a twisted bar outside the Office for Senior Citizens’ Affairs around 5:30 p.m. last Monday.
Cruz, 57, had to be confined in the Intensive Care Unit after he suffered a fractured head and arm.
Kilat, in an earlier report, admitted he was angry at Cruz for not renewing his contract, which expired last August.
He said he asked the victim a question but the latter allegedly yelled at him instead.
He said Cruz looks down on him because he is poor.
Kilat said he had been with City Hall for 25 years and he was due to retire in three years.
PO1 Christopher Mariot witnessed the incident and immediately arrested Kilat.
