The beneficiaries are Barangay Sudlon I (P3.2 million), Sudlon II (P 3.2 million), Sinsin (P3.2 million), Buot (P3.7 million), Bonbon (P3.2 million), Tabunan (P3.2 million) and Tagbao (P3.2 million).
The road concreting projects that were launched yesterday include Sitio Pahayan (P3.3 million), Sitio Mansawa (P4.5 million) and Sitio Tawagan(P5.4 million) in Barangay Guba and a road in Barangay Buot (P3.7 million).
Based on records, the seven infrastructure projects that were turned over yesterday is funded under the City’s annual Budget last year.
While the newly implemented projects is funded under City’s Annual Investment fund (AIP) of 2012.
Mayor Michael Rama personally went to the mountain barangays along with representatives from the Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW) to lead the turn over ceremony and the groundbreaking of infrastructure projects.
Rama earlier said that most of the projects in the mountain barangays are road concreting because he wants to pave all roads there.
By improving the roads, Rama said it will facilitate the transportation of goods from farms to the markets in the downtown area.
It will also be at lesser cost to the farmers because of easier access in transporting their harvest.
Rama also expressed that there will be more expected projects in the coming months to be turned over and implemented to all the barangays in the City.
