TWO brothers were charged before the Carcar City Prosecutor’s Office yesterday for allegedly raping their three nieces on separate occasions.
PO2 Vivian Tamayo, the city police’s Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) chief, said suspects Nonito, 42, and Saldy, 44, are at large.
Tamayo said the suspects allegedly raped Pia, 21, in 2005 and sisters Len, 15, and Jen, 17, in 2012. The brothers are allegedly drug addicts.

The victims’ aunt accompanied them to the police station and lodged complaints against the suspects.
Tamayo said the aunt noticed something was wrong with her nieces. When she asked them what their problems were, the girls told her the alleged abuse they received from the suspects.
Pia told the police she was left in Nonito’s house by her father, who worked in Manila.
High school students Len and Jen stayed with Saldy to help him in the household chores. He shouldered their school expenses.
Nonito and Saldy were charged with rape in relation to violating Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
