A 21-YEAR-OLD man died after the motorcycle he was driving rammed into a Ceres bus on the national road in Sitio Pag-utlan, Barangay Maslog, Danao City on Black Saturday.
Before colliding with the bus, Maruen Holnanero, 21, allegedly hit a 72-year-old pedestrian identified as Florencio Alcaria.
According to the information gathered by the police, Holnanero was on his way to the city proper from Liloan town with Jason Peñez, 30, as his passenger when the accident happened.
Holnanero reportedly veered away from Alcaria and headed to the opposite lane where his motorcycle (7QA-8052) crashed into the Ceres bus (267-CHO) driven by Richard Habojab, 39.
Holnanero was dragged under the bus, while Peñez was thrown off from the motorcycle and landed near the injured Alcaria.
All the three men were taken to the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Danao, but Holnanero died before reaching there because of the injuries he suffered in his head and body.
Peñez and Alcaria, meanwhile, were transferred to a hospital in Cebu City. (Daryl Niño T. Jabil, CNU Comm Intern)
