A FIRE razed three houses and damaged two others yesterday in Sitio Sandayong, Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.

A Honda Civic and a red Suzuki motorcycle were also lost in the blaze. Two other motorcycles were also damaged.

SFO3 Emiliano Daño of Cebu City Fire Department said that the fire broke out at 11:25 a.m. and was placed under control at 11:46 a.m.

He said firefighters had difficulties putting out the fire because the road leading to the site was too narrow and only one truck can enter. Firefighters had to connect hoses to reach the burning houses.

He said the fire quickly spread because some of the houses were made of light materials.

The Bureau of Fire Protection said the fire damaged P300,000 worth of property. No one was reported hurt, though.

The fire reportedly started in the house of Felix Laborte and spread to the houses of his next-door neighbors Romulo Laborte and Rose Gabayan.

Daño said they still have to investigate the cause of the fire. He added that theystill have to look for witnesses.
