CEBU (Updated)- The bodies of a Korean couple and their daughter were found inside a restaurant in Barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City last night.

Police saw the victims, two women and a man, lying with stab wounds inside the Han Ga Wi Restaurant in Sitio Bagong Bayan Dos.

Police identified the fatalities as Ho An, his wife Kim Soonok and daughter Young Mi An, all of legal age. The family owned the restaurant.

Another Korean, Kim Se Wong, the husband of Young Mi An, was also found wounded inside, Mactan Police Station Chief Conrado Manatad said. Kim Se Wong was taken into police custody and brought to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

Manatad said that Kim Se Wong had cuts on his wrists and was under the influence of alcohol.

As of last night, the police could not confirm yet if his wounds were self-inflicted and if he was also a victim or may be involved in the crime.

DyLA reported in its Facebook account that things inside the restaurant were destroyed, including the tables and chairs, indicating that there was a commotion before the victims were killed.

Manatad said a knife was found on the kitchen sink.

Sharon Inting, the guard-on-duty, said a Korean woman, reportedly a friend of one of the victims, came to the restaurant around 5 p.m. She asked Inting for help after no one answered her repeated knocks and phone calls.

Inting said they went to the back door since the front door was padlocked. The guard said she opened the back door, which was not locked. The woman then asked her to enter the restaurant and check the situation inside.

Inting said she saw blood on the floor near the comfort room. She then went out and called the police. Inting, who reported to work at noon, said it was her first day of duty at the restaurant.

On the guard logbook, the outgoing guard, a certain Eborda Jr., wrote that at 2:23 a.m. he heard a commotion inside the restaurant. He heard a woman screaming and things breaking inside.

At 2:35 a.m., he wrote that the people inside had fallen silent. He said he could not enter the restaurant because the door was locked.

Personnel from the Scene of the Crime Operatives were still doing their investigation as of this writing. (Sun.Star Cebu)
