A WOMAN was arrested by police during a buy-bust in Sitio Imbao, Barangay Kalawisan, Lapu-Lapu City late Monday night.
Seized from Flordiliza Bedolido, 49, were a medium and two large packs of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated street value of P30,000.
Intelligence and anti-drug operatives of the Cebu Provincial Police Office conducted the operation around 10:30 p.m. following three weeks of surveillance.
A police poseur-buyer bought a medium pack of shabu worth P500 from Bedolido. She was taken into custody when she handed the pack to him.
“She resisted arrest. But we didn’t use too much force on her because she is a woman,” said Senior Insp. Armando Labora of the Provincial Intelligence Branch.
The confiscated drugs were turned over to PNP Regional Crime Laboratory Office 7 for chemical analysis.
Labora described Bedolido as a level 2 drug pusher who could dispose of at least 200 grams of shabu per week.
The suspect, who originally hails from Sitio Bato-Carbon, Barangay Ermita, Cebu City, is alos in the watch list of suspected drug personalities.
“Siya maoy palitanan sa mga pushers. (The pushers get their drugs from her),” Labora told reporters yesterday.
When interrogated by police, Bedolido denied any involvement in the illegal drug trade.
“Ma-cripple gyud ni iyang mga buyers. Maputlan naman sila og source (Her buyers will have to look for a new source),” Labora added.
Bedolido will face complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
