Man brandishes fake gun, says he is police

A MAN was arrested after he claimed to be a police officer and brandished an unlicensed firearm at 11:55 p.m. Sunday, April 30.

The intelligence operatives led by Police Officer 3 Phil Restauro caught Joselito San Jose Lamibao, 40.

Seized from the suspect were a .9mm Norinco pistol, 8 bullets .9mm inside the magazine, a hand grenade, a .9mm revolver six shooters, fake Philippine National Police (PNP) identification card, and fake PNP badge with serial no. 193389.

Lamibao, during investigation, claimed he was dismissed from the service, but he could not show proof.

Danao City Police Chief Gerard Ace Pelare said he is guarding his personnel and police station from rogue personalities.
