Drug suspect opens fire at police, shot

AN alleged street-level drug pusher was wounded in a shootout with the police in Barangay Northern Poblacion, San Francisco, Camotes at 7:15 p.m. last Sunday.

Senior Insp. Janus Giangan, the town police chief, identified the suspect as Jhontin Binaguihan Catalan, who is now in the hospital for a wound in his stomach.

Catalan allegedly pulled out a gun after sensing that he was dealing with police and opened fire.

Police fired back and hit him.
