A VILLAGE official was caught by operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Branch in a raid in Barangay Putat, Tuburan, Cebu, at 5:45 p.m. Friday, July 7.
Putat councilman Raul Misa Cole Sr., 40, yielded an unlicensed .22 Black Widow revolver, four packs of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), bullets, and drug paraphernalia.
Cole, the village's peace and order committee chairman, denied his involvement in illegal drug trade.
He said his drug dependent son possibly reported him to the police.
Cole claimed he is active in the campaign against illegal drugs in their village. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
