MUSLIMS around the world celebrate Friday, September 1, the Festival of Sacrifice or Eid al-Adha to mark the end of the hajj pilgrimage.

In Cebu City, Philippines, Muslims gathered at the Alkhairiah mosque in Barangay Basak San Nicolas to pray, while some slaughtered cows and goats to commemorate Prophet Abraham's readiness to sacrifice his son Ismail on God's command.
