TWO suspected drug pushers, who reportedly have links with alleged drug lords, were arrested in a series of drug busts in Cebu City last Tuesday night.
More than P2.3 million worth of suspected shabu were confiscated by operatives of Cebu City Police Office’s intelligence branch and drug enforcement unit.
Suspects Ozner Navarro Nabua, 28, and Carlota Ramas Alonzo, 36, yielded 200.4 grams of shabu.
At 6:30 p.m., Nabua was caught on Imus New Road, Barangay T. Padilla.
Alonzo was later arrested in Barangay Kalubihan at 8 p.m. She is allegedly a former underling of suspected drug lord Rowen “Yawa” Secretaria, who was killed in a police operation in Getafe, Bohol last year.
Nabua allegedly works for suspected drug lord Ernesto “Saddam” Laurenciana, who is detained at the Cebu City Jail.
Senior Insp. Narrolf Tan, CCPO’s drug enforcement unit chief, said that his unit had monitored the suspects for more than a month before the buy busts.
Complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, will be filed against the two suspects.
Selling shabu is a non-bailable offense. (KAL)
