'Big-time' drug pusher nabbed in San Fernando

Tuesday, October 03, 2017

A SUSPECTED big-time drug pusher was caught in a drug bust by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Visayas around 10:30 p.m. Monday, October 2, in Barangay Sangat, San Fernando, Cebu.

Operatives seized some 100 grams of white crystals believed to be "shabu" (methamphetamine hydrochloride) from Leodegario “Lee” Enad, an ex-convict.

The contraband has an estimated market value of P500,000.

Earl Rallos, the PDEA 7 plans and operations division chief, said Enad had been listed a high value target. Enad allegedly sourced his supply from the National Bilibid Prisons in Muntinlupa City. He had been in the national penitentiary after he was convicted of drug charges.

Enad will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Selling illegal drugs is a non-bailable offense. (KAL)
