THE Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) will have a new director on Friday, October 6.
Senior Superintendent Eric Noble will be replaced by Senior Superintendent Edgar Alan Okubo of Philippine National Police Academy Class 1992.
Noble will be sent to San Francisco, California as police attachē.
Okubo is from Police Regional Office-Ilocos.
Noble, a native of Pangasinan, started serving CPPO on October 3, 2016.
In his one-year stint in CPPO, Noble oversaw several arrests of high-profile drug personalities and politicians. Some of these personalities were Medellin Councilor Ricardo Ramirez and Lugo, Borbon Barangay Captain Jinnefer Mercader.
Noble initiated programs that aimed to bring the police closer to the public. One of these programs is encouraging a police officer to do random acts of kindness everyday. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
