THE Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) will have a new director today.
Senior Supt. Eric Noble will be replaced by Senior Supt. Edgar Alan Okubo, who will leave his post at the Police Regional Office in Ilocos.
Okubo is a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 1992.
After serving the CPPO for one year, Noble, a native of Pangasinan, will assume as the Philippines’ police attache in California.
Since becoming CPPO director on Oct. 3, 2016, Noble oversaw the arrest of several high-profile drug personalities and politicians.
Among these personalities are Councilor Ricardo Ramirez of Medellin, Cebu and Lugo Barangay Captain Jinnefer Mercader of Borbon town.
Noble initiated programs that aimed to bring the police closer to the public.
One of these programs is encouraging a police officer to do random acts of kindness everyday. (KAL)
